(June 9, 2008, Temecula, California) While many film critics considered the movie "not as funny
as its trailer", MuslimBridges is disappointed by Adam Sandler's attempt to
glorify the image of the "Israeli soldier", clearly a propaganda plot to
counter two factors, the large number of Israeli soldiers defecting the
military, refusing to take part in oppressing the Palestinians, and the
miserable performance by the "mighty" Israeli army against Hezbollah - the
small militia resistance during 2006 Israel war on Lebanon.
MuslimBridges is countering Adam Sandler’s recent movie
with a short fiction film "Zohan, don't
miss with Palestinians", yet more realistic than his propaganda film, featuring a female Palestinian resistance fighter showing "real guts" fighting
back. See film link below.
Just as current administration engaged in deception, falsely
linking Iraq with Al Qaeda
to justify the Iraq war,
Sandler's movie is part of ongoing campaign to link the Palestinians with Al
Qaeda and terrorism, justifying Israel
violations of International law, occupation of Palestinian territories, and
continuing to confiscate more Arab land for settlements despite its talk of
peace.
Muslims around the world make a clear distinction between
Judaism which it supports, versus Zionism which it apposes. Adam Sandler has effectively joined the camp
of Zionism with this movie release, likely eliminating too many of his fans,
considering one out of every four people in the world is Muslim, and apposed to
the Israeli occupation, Israeli countless human rights abuses, and its
apartheid regime.
MuslimBridges call on Sandler to formally apologies to the
Palestinian people, and pledge to donate all profits to the Christian and
Muslim orphans in Palestine.
