They appeared on AC360 shouting extremely hateful messages completely counter to Islamic teachings and they expressed support for the tragic shootings at Fort Hood. Their hateful messages seems very similar to a man here in Southern California, which the local Islamic Center reported immediately to your office. Later, we found out he was not Muslim, but a paid informant of the FBI. Therefore, we would appreciate if your office may investigate ...

Mayor Piper,
It can happen. Anyone can make a mistake, let his / her fear misguide their judgment, to say things that later one may regret. We can understand, we are all about building Bridges and promoting Peace!
But did you later make things rights ... did you offer a formal and clear apology ... is your heart clean?
The level of arrogance you have demonstrated after the fact, clearly shows you are not worthy of your public office. You should be ashamed of yourself.
The very same people you have attacked and refuse to offer them a simple apology are ironically most gracious to you!
"we do not wish to say anything harsh about him", "he is normally a very nice man".
How do you feel when you hear the local Muslim community in Clarksville say these words about you?
They had the opportunity to counter back and make rather "accurate" historical statements of religious corruption, ranging from the role of Churches in African American slavery, the massacre of Native Americans, the Inquisition, the Holocaust, white supremacy, KKK, hate crimes against Mormons by Born-again Christians, world war two claiming more than 50 million civilian lives, even all the way back to Jews plot of Killing Jesus! But they did not because our faith teaches us each soul is only responsible for itself, and no one can be condemned by the actions of others. In fact, Islam teaches to forgive and love one another:
"None of you will enter paradise unless you believe and none of you truly believe unless you love one another"

It is not difficult to escalate the situation, many consider your statements as actionable "Hate Speech" and "Islamophobia". Now the entire City Council is also accountable for their action or lack of it. The leaders of Churches who choose to be quite, casually allowing such mind-set to foster in their town and churches will be judged, if not in this life time, certainly in the hereafter.
Insincere apology is meaningless at this point. The question now is: Will you do the ethical thing and Resign?

Prayers and petitions arise from 460 Candlelight Community Vigil |

Last night, residents of Temecula,
California, held a Candlelight Vigil
filled with prayers, singing "Let there be Peace on Earth", and deep emotions
for the 460 children killed during the Gaza Massacre. Each child name, age, and sex, was announced,
a name label handed to each attendee, and then placed on the candle cup holder. Community members participated in individual
and group prayers, hoping for peace, wishing to "Free Palestine", putting an end to the current siege, occupation
and oppression of the Palestinians.
